Fiddle Section will be held on Saturday May 3rd.

There are many reasons why you should register for “The Greater Victoria Performing Arts Festival” including the many awards and trophies to be won, including up to $1,000 in prize monies. The Victoria Fiddle Society offers two awards, The Frankie Rodgers Award for original composition ($100) and the Oliver Schroer Spirit Award ($100). In addition, our President Daniel Lapp offers the Leonard Sexsmith Trophy and Award for BC Composer ($100).

This is a unique opportunity to perform in a non-threatening, supportive environment for a knowledgeable adjudicator. This year’s adjudicator is Canadian and US National Fiddle Champion, Shane Cook who will provide you with valuable suggestions, including a written adjudication.
