DESCRIPTION:The GVPA Festival is encouraging members to come out on May 2nd and hear the future fiddlers of Victoria. The sessions take place at 9am and 1pm at the Phillip T. Young Recital Hall at UVic. \n\n\n\nThe morning session is focused on Junior (10 & under) and Intermediate (14 & under) performers\, and the afternoon on the Senior and Open participants. \n\n\n\nTrent Freeman has replaced Patrick M’Gonigle as this year’s adjudicator. \n\n\n\nThey are also looking for volunteers for that day. Positions include ticket sales\, door person\, and adjudicator assistant. The shifts would start 30 minutes before the 9am and 1pm sessions are between 3 and 4 hours long. DESCRIPTION:Join me for adult intermediate-ish group fiddle ensemble lessons to learn lively Irish\, Scottish\, and Canadian (maybe even Breton and Scandinavian!) traditional tunes\, tune sets\, and arrangements in a fun and non-competitive atmosphere!
