Canada Day Parade in Sidney

Many, MANY thanks to everyone for helping to make the VFS Float in the Canada Day Parade such a success again—-everyone we passed was smiling and foot-tapping—-it was great fun!

Special thanks:

To Calvin for leading the fiddling once again in his lively and inspiring way, to Paula for helping keep us in time with her beautiful drum, and to Louisa for helping the far end of the float keep together when needed!

To Harald, Annelina, Margaret, Janice, Emily and Bunny who came very early to help get the hay onto the float and the signs on, and to all the others who came to decorate——it all happened so smoothly this year.

To Warren and all the other folk who walked with the float and handed out sweets to a very appreciative crowd

To Wayne and Slegg’s Lumber for providing the float—and to Gil and Lorraine Soellner for the loan of the hay, thank you so much!

And to our wonderful driver, Jazz, back with us again, thank you for being so considerate and helpful and driving us with such pizzaz!
