Community Dances

“A violin sings but a fiddle dances!”

We play fiddle so we dance.  The Victoria Fiddle Society and other groups hold dances periodically throughout the year that feature toe tapping, hand clapping and foot stomping live fiddle music that will get you in the mood!

October 3, 7:00 – 9:00 pm

A Night of Music, Dance, and Good Vibes Join us on October 3rd from 7:00 PM – 9:30 PM at the Edelweiss Club (108 Niagara St, James Bay) for a ceilidh that’ll keep your feet tapping.

Featuring the BC Fiddle Orchestra, Daniel Lapp and friends. Experienced caller, Merrie Klazek, will lead the dances.

The evening promises some top-notch fiddle music, come and dance or just tap your feet. This event doubles as a fundraiser for the BC Fiddle Orchestra, supporting their mission to bring fiddle music to the community and grow the next generation of fiddlers.

Suggested donation: $10-15.

All ages welcome.

Bring your own drinks if you like, or a snack to share, and get ready for a night of music, dancing, and connection.

(Organized by BCFO fiddle dads Nathan, Jason, and their families to mark their 50th birthdays. And yes, there will be birthday cake!)
