Sarah Tradewell
Sarah Tradewell is a fiddler and singer based in Victoria, BC. Born in Saskatchewan, Sarah grew up in a musical household, learning music from her family, friends and old-fashioned community music making.
After moving to Victoria in 2007, Sarah became a fixture in the fiddle community. Equally versatile in old time, country, and Celtic fiddle, she is a two-time BC Fiddle Champion and has been invited four times to compete at the Canadian Grand Masters Fiddle Championships. Sarah maintains a busy performance schedule, having performed at the first Victory Ceremony at BC Place for the 2010 Winter Olympic Games, in three professional theatre productions (Hank Williams, Patsy Cline, and My Fair Lady) with Blue Bridge Repertory Theatre, and with her band at various Victoria functions. Also an accomplished classical musician, Sarah graduated from the University of Victoria with a Bachelor of Music in Performance. She has performed with the Victoria Symphony, the Galiano Ensemble of Victoria, the Vancouver Island Symphony, and the YouTube Symphony Orchestra 2011 at the Sydney Opera House in Australia. Sarah teaches private music lessons in Victoria and continues to perform regularly in both classical and folk circles.
